R.I.P Nelson Mandela

That was Nelson Mandela, who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead his country out of decades of apartheid.

He died Thursday night at age 95.

His message of reconciliation, not vengeance, inspired the world after he negotiated a peaceful end to segregation and urged forgiveness for the white government that imprisoned him.

"As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison," Mandela said after he was freed in 1990.

Mandela, a former president, battled health issues in recent years, including a recurring lung infection that led to numerous hospitalizations.

Despite rare public appearances, he held a special place in the consciousness of the nation and the world.

"Our nation has lost its greatest son. Our people have lost a father," South African President Jacob Zuma said. "What made Nelson Mandela great was precisely what made him human. We saw in him what we seek in ourselves."

His U.S. counterpart, Barack Obama, echoed the same sentiment.

"We've lost one of the most influential, courageous and profoundly good human beings that any of us will share time with on this Earth," Obama said. "He no longer belongs to us -- he belongs to the ages."

and How can I forget to tell you what my sister did!! In early morning, approx 6, she gifted me a photo frame, which when I unpacked had a collage of me!! WOW!!! so me! :P and she also Tempted, the book I was longing for approx two months!! It arrived today!! I will try to give you the review as soon as possible!

Yesterday was so awesome!!

I  celebrated my birthday yesterday! The plan was simple, I planned a treat for my friends but they surprised me with an awesome birthday cake! At first I really felt very happy and emotional but when they decorated my face with that cake and tried to smash that cake on my face I felt really terrible!! I mean seriously!! How can they do this to me!! :P

Yesterday he retired, played his last match, made 74 runs, his fans all over the world were sad! but time flies, he had to retire either today or tomorrow but he will never retire from our hearts! He has added stars to cricket! All we can do now is to thank him!

Diwali!

Diwali is kind off biggest hind festival!! It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and is also known as the festivas of lights and why not! On diwali what u can see is light, light and light everywhere! Houses are decorated with lights and rangoli. there are diya which are lighted up in the evening and are kept in different rooms of houses!

It is said that on Diwali the hindu god, Rama came back to Ayodhya, his hometown, after a 14 year old exile in woods during which his wife, Sita was kidnapped by a demon named Ravana, who was the king of Sri Lanka!

It is celebrated on the thirteenth Lunar day of Krishna paksh according to Hindu calender! Its date keep on changing in the Roman calender we follow. This year it was on 3rd November! (I  know, I know I am quite late!)

Lake Hillier is a pink-colored lake on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago, Western Australia. From above the lake appears a solid bubble gum pink. It is such a significant distinguishing feature of the archipelago that air passengers often crane their necks to take a glimpse of it.

Another hypothesis is that the pink color is due to red halophilic bacteria in the salt crusts. One of the first evidence of Middle Island's pink lake dates back to the journals of Matthew Flinders, a British navigator and hydrographer in 1802. Flinders had climbed Middle Island's highest peak (now known as Flinders Peak) to survey the surrounding waters when he came across this remarkable pink lake. Except for a few years when salt extraction was being carried out here, the island and its pink lake has been almost untouched and has since then provide visitors with one of the most amazing view of the world's natural wonder.

APJ Abdul Kalam

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, known as the MISSILE MAN OF INDIA has a prominent role in India's 1998 nuclear weapon tests which catapulted him into the limelight all of a sudden. Before becoming the 11th President of India he had been an aerospace engineer with DRDO and ISRO. And the good news is that he was not a very bright student! but the best president of India ever.

He was born in Tamil Nadu, India on 15th October 1931. Yes 15 October is today.......... lets all wish him a very Happy Birthday! :D (the famous singer, Usher also shares birthday with him, wish him too!! :D)

Dussehra

Dussehra is a major Hindu festival also known as vijyadashmi. According to the Hindu calender it falls on the tenth day of the month ashwin. It varies in the standard calender recognized by the world but mostly falls in the month of October. In 2013 it is on  14th October i.e today! The day culminates a 9 day fasting period of Navratri (I told you before about Navratri http://myconfusingandcrazylife.blogspot.in/2013/10/enjoying.html )
The day is also celebrated to commemorate the killing of Ravana by Lord Ram. :D

My maternal grandmother and and my aunt are here at my house all the way from Florida................ Met them after almost a year. We are enjoying like hell, eating chatting, playing games. They are going to visit their hometown tomorrow and this time my younger sister is going with them for 10 whole days. Its true that we fight a lot and I always say that I don't love her but I never meant that...... I have never spent more than a night without her and the main problem is that I can't even show that I I have started missing her before she's gone.
I read this week's horoscope today. It said that things are calm but a wind will soon throw me in all the action. I can't stop thinking what sort of "action" is waiting for me out there!! another basketball tournament, some teacher trying to harass me, increase in work load. IDK. actually I usually use to say that I don't believe in horoscope's and tarot cards and all that future stuff   but still............... you know..................
By the way I forgot to tell you that Navrati has started yesterday, Its a nine day festival in which people worship nine forms of a hindu mythology goddess Durga. This is mostly celebrated in India and Bangladesh. In India it has a special recognition in West Bengal. Actually West Bengal is known for it's rich culture and Durga Puja. The day after these nine days is celebrated as Dussehra which has it's own story. I am gonna teel that tale on that day... :) :D

Popular celebration includes prayer meetings, commemorative ceremonies in different cities by colleges, local government institutions and socio-political institutions. Painting and essay competitions are conducted and best awards are awarded for projects in schools and the community, on themes of glorifying peace, non-violence and Gandhi's effort in Indian Freedom Struggle. There was a basketball match tomorrow, We didn't played since one month because of exams and today it the practice was so damn exhausting and filled with pressure that resulted in a body ache, also today I fell down and injured my knee......................................... still we were so excited for tomorrow! But now I got the news that the match is postponed! :(  It will be held on Sunday or Monday! But this ain't no fair! :(

The Hunger Games

This book is amazing!! I recently read it!! Very nicely written. Its the first part off The Hunger Games Trilogy. I never ever imagined something like this, never imagined life like Katniss (who is the protagonist) before, She is just awesome!!! and a surviver!! Its amazing how suzanne collins killed 22 people in the book and the readers did not really felt bad or bored from the game and the deaths! 

Exams Over!!

I am so damn excited.....................
I am seeing my blog after such a long time.
My exams went nice........................ not awesome, but not bad.
The major thing is that there is a basketball match day after tomorrow and I am nervous as hell because I have not touched the basketball since last month due to exams.

Eid-ul-Fitr: Celebrations to mark the end of Ramzan

Eid, popularly known as Eid-ul-Fitr, is a festival observed by the Muslim community to celebrate the conclusion of the month of fasting.

Eid-ul-Fitr literally means 'festival of breaking the fast'. Like other festivals observed by the Muslim community, this festival symbolizes faith. The festival is celebrated based on an Islamic belief by following the form of social practice.

Eid is celebrated on the first date of Shawwal, that is, the tenth month of the Hijra calendar. During the festival, Muslims exchange gifts, greeting their neighbours as a mark of solidarity and brotherhood.

According to the Islamic tradition, there are two festivals observed by Muslims every year - Eid-ul-Fitr just after Ramzan and Eid-ul-Zuha in the month of Haj.

Ramzan, the month of fasting, symbolizes a lot practices and beliefs of the community. It is not merely restraining oneself from having food but also to abstain from all kinds of evil and unlawful practices in Islam.

Muslims, just before the celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr, keep a month long fast throughout the month of Ramzan. The practice of fasting is also known as 'roza' that starts from the break of dawn till dusk and during this whole day an individual has to refrain hinself from drinking, eating or having sexual intercourse. The term 'roza' us an Arabic word means abstinence. This year Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on August 20 to mark the end of Ramzan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

Many Muslims believe that fasting reminds a sense of responsibility within themselves.

The month long fasting ends with the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr that symbolizes a reward for their fasting.

Muslims on this day wear their best clothers and offer 'namaz' a congregational prayer at masjids or mosques. After offering their prayers they exchange good wishes of the festival with their neighbours and other people. They also donate alms to the poor on the auspicios occasion.

The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr not only has religious essence but also carries a social connotation.

Like other festivals, Eid-ul-Fitr is also observed with great enthusiasm. Delicious food and drinks are an indispensable part of the festivity. People decoare their houses and prepare luscious traditional sweets and cuisines to celebrate the festival. The most common recipe in this festival is the delicious meethi seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli) prepared from various healthy and mouth-watering ingredients.

Moreover, ahead the festival, the markets are filled with fascinating items in the shopping list for Eid. Fancy and food items mostly dominate the festival and as the festival approaches excitement to celebrate gains momentum not only with Muslims but also with shopkeepers and traders doing a brisk business.

The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr is no-doubt perks up the spirit inherent in all the festivity. The significance of this festival is also interpreted as a good time to bring people together in harmony and gratitude.

That teacher was my English teacher in 5th, 6th and 8th grade, In fifth she was okay with me, I used to write poems and story, she praised me a lot, once we had a hw to write a story, I wrote one, it was highly appreciated by her but when I saw my marks, they were ridiculous...... I could not understand her and ignored thinking that she praised me so that I feel happy. In sixth nothing realy happened between us but in 8th!! she didn't left a moment to criticize me. I got second highest in English but I was scolded in front of my class and a lot more incidents happened of her criticizing me.............. If I start to post them this post will never end. The reason behind all this was her internal tension with my mother(who is also a teacher in the same school) and her jealousy!!! I was good at everything in early years........... drama, studies, sports, dance.   and her son who is two years younger than me is good for nothing.
sorry yesterday my wifi was not working because of heavy rain...!!!
So..... today we had a house meet, and suddenly my basket ball coach came, called me and  told me to take out five good basket ball players from my house. There were only two children in basket ball team form my house, one was me and another was absent and today we were having inter house basketball competition................ most worst thing..................... I was not having my shorts and shoes!!!!
With a great difficulty I convinced some girls to play!! two of them were not in our house uniform....... but it was okay!!!
The match started............. we were blue playing against green...................... of course I was the captain, match was going smooth, we already did a basket when suddenly a teacher came in the middle of the court!!!


She has no right to coordinate tenth, she is the coordinator of 4th to 7th grades nor she is teaching us. But she came and called the referee, and said that in my house to children are not in proper uniform, they do not respect house dress so they can't play!!! I was stunned!! In the left court there was a  match between red and yellow where children were playing without their house uniform and that was OKAY for her!!!! she is a real bitch!!!  and after this as a captain I was boiling with anger........ I ran where more girls in our HOUSE T-SHIRT were sitting, convinced some of them to play, they were the people who really did'nt know how to play, I explained them the rules and the match started again, because I was angry I play with anger!! I just had to win this match, star was good but at the end they made baskets. We needed one basket to win and had one minute to win................ standing near the opponents basket it looked quite difficult but suddenly something went inside me.................. I snatched the ball, passed it, the ball reached our side, I got a pass without even seeing the basket and taking the aim I shot and their was a clear wonderfull winning basket and then I saw that teacher and from the bottom of my heart my mind said F**** You!!!!

The final match was against yellow after 5 min, this time that teacher went and we were allowed to make those players play!! well I was tired and we lost!! we landed second in the tournament!! We lost the final match but still I am happy!!! :) have to say a lot more but I think its time to go!!!

Hey!!
m not well today. Yesterday night I slept for only two and a half hours. And today didn't even went for basketball practice. In school I was okay but as soon as I came home..............I ate lunch and slept in school uniform.Slept for 1 hour and when woke I realized that  my right nose was badly blocked! ughhhhhh!!! I hate it!! Its 8 and I am going to sleep!! I will study at 4 am tomorrow! I guess!!

M sad!!! this blog is not working well!! Just got 188 views in 11 days! today is the 11th day and this is my 12th post! and the response is just two +1s!! If I do not get a comment till the end of july! I guess I will be inactive because for me writing here is like talking to ghosts!!
I mean..................... why I am writing these shit if no one cares.
I know that it is a new blog and it will take time to reach people but still why the hell m posting here everyday religiously! My life is getting complicated! Yes!! confusing, crazy and COMPLICATED!!!

Though I know there's  not morning everywhere.....................Still Good Morning!! Today is Saturday, I don't have to go to school today!! well maybe I have to go from next Saturday for basketball! :'(
Well going to school on saturday hurts, basketball heals!!!!
I have to make my working model of kidney today!! once it is made I will upload its pic and also tell u from where I made it!!
I had no plans to make this blog a diary!! but what to do!! this is the only place I can share my problems, my day to day life, my feelings without uncovering my identity.
