LOL!
“I was in the restaurant yesterday when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to pass gas. The music was really, really loud, so I timed my gas with the beat of the music.
After a couple of songs, I started to feel better. I finished my coffee, and noticed that everybody was staring at me….
Then I suddenly remembered that I was listening to my iPod.”

I want to drown in this pink lake!!
Lake Hillier is a pink-colored lake on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago, Western Australia. From above the lake appears a solid bubble gum pink. It is such a significant distinguishing feature of the archipelago that air passengers often crane their necks to take a glimpse of it.
The lake is about 600 meters long, and is surrounded by a rim of sand and a dense woodland of paperbark and eucalyptus trees. A narrow strip of sand dunes covered by vegetation separates it to the north from the Southern Ocean.
Unlike other pink lakes in the world like the one in Retba and the salt ponds at San Francisco Bay, the pink color of Lake Hillier has not been decisively proved, although it is speculated that the color could arise from a dye created by the organisms Dunaliella salina and Halobacteria. Another hypothesis is that the pink color is due to red halophilic bacteria in the salt crusts. That the color is not a trick of light can be proved by taking water from the lake in a container – the pink color can be found to be permanent.
One of the first evidence of Middle Island's pink lake dates back to the journals of Matthew Flinders, a British navigator and hydrographer in 1802. Flinders had climbed Middle Island's highest peak (now known as Flinders Peak) to survey the surrounding waters when he came across this remarkable pink lake. Except for a few years when salt extraction was being carried out here, the island and its pink lake has been almost untouched and has since then provide visitors with one of the most amazing view of the world's natural wonder.

The Drug Bust
The phone rings at Federal Drug Enforcement Agency headquarters.
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency?"
"Yes. What can we do for you?"
"I'm calling to report my neighbor Tom. He is hiding cocaine in his firewood."
"Thank you, this will be noted."
Next day, the Drug Enforcement agents come over to Tom's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept, break every piece of wood, find no cocaine, swear at Tom and leave.
The phone rings at Tom's house. "Hey, Tom! Did the Federal Drug Enforcement guys come by?"
"Yeah!"
"Did they chop your firewood for you?"
"Yeah, they did."
"Okay, now it's YOUR turn to call. I need my garden plowed."

Not marble, Nor the gilded monuments.....
SONNET 55 by Shakespeare
Not marble, nor the gilded monuments
Of princes, shall outlive this powerful rhyme;
But you shall shine more bright in these contents
Than unswept stone besmear'd with sluttish time.
When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
And broils root out the work of masonry,
Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn
The living record of your memory.
'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmity
Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room
Even in the eyes of all posterity
That wear this world out to the ending doom.
So, till the judgment that yourself arise,
You live in this, and dwell in lovers' eyes.
Of princes, shall outlive this powerful rhyme;
But you shall shine more bright in these contents
Than unswept stone besmear'd with sluttish time.
When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
And broils root out the work of masonry,
Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn
The living record of your memory.
'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmity
Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room
Even in the eyes of all posterity
That wear this world out to the ending doom.
So, till the judgment that yourself arise,
You live in this, and dwell in lovers' eyes.
I love this sonnet! I don't know why............ It's also the first sonnet I have ever read, it was in my coarse.
This sonnet delivers a simple message......
people build statues and monuments to get remembered by the next generation and the next generation and so on but they never realize that the monuments and the statues will once get destroyed with the sluttish time or the wasteful wars but the writings, the art always remain. That is the reason shakespeareBy the way today, I posted this poem because today was the last day of my English teacher in school. She was a very nice teacher and we are going to miss her a lot! and want to tell her that she will always dwell in her student's minds! :( :) :D

enjoying!!
My maternal grandmother and and my aunt are here at my house all the way from Florida................ Met them after almost a year. We are enjoying like hell, eating chatting, playing games. They are going to visit their hometown tomorrow and this time my younger sister is going with them for 10 whole days. Its true that we fight a lot and I always say that I don't love her but I never meant that...... I have never spent more than a night without her and the main problem is that I can't even show that I I have started missing her before she's gone.
I read this week's horoscope today. It said that things are calm but a wind will soon throw me in all the action. I can't stop thinking what sort of "action" is waiting for me out there!! another basketball tournament, some teacher trying to harass me, increase in work load. IDK. actually I usually use to say that I don't believe in horoscope's and tarot cards and all that future stuff but still............... you know..................
By the way I forgot to tell you that Navrati has started yesterday, Its a nine day festival in which people worship nine forms of a hindu mythology goddess Durga. This is mostly celebrated in India and Bangladesh. In India it has a special recognition in West Bengal. Actually West Bengal is known for it's rich culture and Durga Puja. The day after these nine days is celebrated as Dussehra which has it's own story. I am gonna teel that tale on that day... :) :D

Gandhi Jayanti
"An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind."
This line was spoken by Mahatma
Gandhi, The man who defeated the odds. His policy of non violence or
"Satyamev Jayate" has been recognized by the world.
Mahatma Gandhi whose full name
was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi led India to
independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the
world. The honorific Mahatma (Sanskrit:
"high-souled," "venerable")—applied to him first in 1914 in
South Africa,—is now used worldwide. He is also called Bapu (Gujarati: endearment for
"father," "papa.") in India.
Gandhi's
birthday i.e today is chosen as a commemoration for the billions of
non-human animals that are slaughtered by the human farming industry each year.
The practice started in 1983
He was also an
exceptional writer. One of Gandhi's earliest publications, Hind
Swaraj, published in Gujarati in 1909, is
recognised as the intellectual blueprint of India's freedom movement. The
book was translated into English the next year, with a copyright legend that
read "No Rights Reserved". For decades he edited several
newspapers including Harijan in
Gujarati, in Hindi and in the English
language; Indian Opinion while
in South Africa and, Young India, in English, and Navajivan, a Gujarati monthly, on his return to India.
Later, Navajivan was also published in Hindi. In addition, he wrote letters
almost every day to individuals and newspapers.
Gandhi
also wrote several books including his autobiography, The story of my
experiments with truth (Gujarātī "સત્યના પ્રયોગો અથવા આત્મકથા"), of which he bought the entire
first edition to make sure it was reprinted. His other autobiographies
included: Satyagraha in South Africa about his struggle
there, Hind Swaraj, a political pamphlet, and a paraphrase in Gujarati
of John Ruskin 's Unto Last. This last essay can be
considered his programme on economics. He also wrote extensively on
vegetarianism, diet and health, religion, social reforms, etc. Gandhi usually
wrote in Gujarati, though he also revised the Hindi and English translations of
his books.
Gandhi's
complete works were published by the Indian government under the name The
collected works of Mahatma Gandhi in the 1960s. The writings comprise
about 50,000 pages published in about a hundred volumes. In 2000, a revised
edition of the complete works sparked a controversy, as it constituted large
number of errors and omissions. The Indian government later withdrew the
revised edition.
Gandhi Jayanti
is celebrated on 2nd of October i.e today, every year and is one of the three
official declared National Holidays of India and is observed in all its states
and union territories.
Gandhi
Jayanti is marked by prayer services and tributes all over India, especially at
Raj Ghat, Gandhi's memorial in New Delhi where he was cremated. Popular
celebration includes prayer meetings, commemorative ceremonies in different
cities by colleges, local government institutions and socio-political
institutions. Painting and essay competitions are conducted and best awards are
awarded for projects in schools and the community, on themes of glorifying
peace, non-violence and Gandhi's effort in Indian Freedom Struggle. Usually,
Gandhi's favourite devotional song, Raghupati
Raghav Rajaram is sung in memory of him.
